Conventional waste treatment options are energy hungry and it’s no secret that energy costs are on the increase. The BioWayste process is different – it actually produces energy, so it slashes treatment costs and rapidly becomes a cash positive investment.
Our unique high rate Anaerobic Digestion process produces a Biogas, a mixture of methane and carbon dioxide. The BioWayste system burns these gases to produce highly sustainable heat and electricity. These valuable resources can be returned for use in the production process, or the electricity can be sold at preferential tariff rates to generate a new income stream.
And that’s not all; some of this sustainable energy is used as an alternative to fossil fuels to power the BioWayste plant, meaning that the plant itself also has the lowest possible carbon footprint!
BioWayste Anaerobic Digestion plants use smaller, modular reactors. This enables the plant to only require minimal capital investment, single contractor implementation, reduced time frame, planning and civils, as well as removing any engineering and design risk.
There are two key components in our AD plants, each performing a specific function; these are the services skid and the reactor module. The small foot print services skid enables simple monitoring, control and manipulation of the feed substrate profile, to ensure the process runs efficiently and stably. The small, high rate M60 Reactor Module efficiently retains the biomass required to ensure optimum substrate biomass interaction.
